Albert Davydov

Albert Davydov was born in Russia and began his ballet training at the age of eleven at the Kazan Choreographic School of Ballet. Upon graduation, he joined the Tatar State Theater of Opera and Ballet where he danced solo and principal roles and toured with the company throughout Europe and the United States. His repertoire includes Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty , Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote, Coppelia.

Albert has won numerous awards and prizes in various international ballet competitions. He performed in the big international Gala in "New York" USA, "Soul" South Korea," Riga" Latvia, won him a spot to perform in the 2008 and 2010 International Championship Competition Gala in "Varna" Bulgaria. Albert has performed at the Nureyev International Ballet Festivals in "Kazan" Russia. In addition, Albert has participated in the International Ballet Festivals in  "Wilmington" Delaware.

He joined New Jersey Ballet in 2004 where he continues to perform in Principal roles. In 2011 Mr. Davydov restaged Don Quixote and danced principal rule for New Jersey Ballet with great reviews in the press. On November 22, 2011 The New Jersey Star Ledger wrote about the restaging of Don Quixote  “New Jersey Ballet splendid new production by company member Albert Davydov”.

Albert has over eight years of teaching experience with the New Jersey Ballet School and with the Sharon Miller Academy for the Performing Arts. Albert also has four years of teaching ballet experience at Valentina Kozlova’s Dance Conservatory of New York.
